How to improve your learning skills....

Effective memory is the result of  a conscious mind. It consists of processing what you read, see or hear. We know that some people have good memory while some don't...So if you want to improve your learning as well as memory skills must read my the blog till end.

Hello readers,
A very warm welcome to my blog.
Our mind retains information easily in the area of our interest only. Most of us don't have interest in studies that's reason that we don't like to learn or our memory becomes weak. For an example, You take no time to memorize the number of your friend; but when it comes to a chemical equation, it is quite another story! This happens because you do not attach much importance to the bit of knowledge. The process of learning can be compared to the way your digestive system works. Your mind needs to work on what read in the way the digestive system needs to work on the food you eat.

Intense attention paid to something leads to concentration. In order to remember something it is essential to concentrate on that. Some people are born with a good memory. However, even if you feel that you r not such a person, fortunately a good memory is something that can be acquired by using these 3 Golden rules in your study routine.

Golden Rule 1: Think about what you have read.
Do not read the words passively. Go through a dictionary and analyse their meaning- in isolation and in relation to one another. Until you understand the meaning of each word that you read, it will not be possible to commit the information to memory.

Golden Rule 2: Question what you read.
Pose these questions to the text: What have I read? How does it connect to what I already know? Why do I actually want to do with the information? How can I use it? Can I apply this knowledge anywhere? What is the basic idea of the lesson?
Use the magic words as often as you can-Who? What? When? Where? Why? How? When you are looking for answers, you are forced to concentrate. You will find that in looking for the answers to your queries, you will have to organise the lesson and your own thoughts process.

Golden Rule 3: Make notes as you read
Make noted as you read each paragraph. At the End of the lesson, write a summary of what you have read and understood. If there are any gaps in what you have written, go through your notes, you will have no difficulty in recalling the important aspects of the lesson.
Over time, if you work at paying attention to lessons, you will find that it becomes progressively easier to pay attention. From a struggle to focus, it will become a spontaneous reaction.

Thank you for reading the blog till end. Hope so that these rules will help you to improve your learning skills. If you liked or learnt something from this blog, then comment and subscribe my blog for latest updates.
